Armadillo

The Armadillo is such a cool creature because only one type of armadillo lives in North America, the nine-banded armadillo. The mom nine-banded armadillo can have up to four litter. They are all female or male because they all hatch from one egg. Armadillo need their mother for five months, but after that they stay with their mother until one year is over. After one year, they are an adult, and the females are ready to have babies. Nine-banded armadillos can live up to ten years of age. Nine-banded armadillos eat invertebrates. For example, they eat insects, plants, carrion, small snakes, and small lizards. Armadillos have hard shells so they can tuck into a ball. They don't usually tuck into a ball, but they do when they have to. This animal is really interesting because it is extremely unique. Gila Monster

Zootastic's 20 inch gila monsters are a most see lizard. One of the two only poisonous lizards in the world. They hard to see sometimes because their skin is camouflage. The gila monster is venomous and the venom is made by a row of glands in the lizard’s lower jaw. When the lizard bites, small grooves in the teeth help the venom flow into the victim.The gila monsters can fast for up to three years. So sneak over to North America and try to catch a glimpse of the gila monster.

Grizzly Bear

Come and visit our amazing and lively grizzly bears.  The male weighs 700 pounds and is eight feet long. the female weighs 500 pounds and is seven feet long.  You should come visit these amazing and enormous animals.

Western Mountain Lion

The mountain lion is a big animal; it is part of the cat family. It is the biggest of the smallest cats.  A small cat , because small cats are mighty and loud. One of the youngest mountain lions gave birth to cubs Bella, Violet, and Annie.  They have ringed tails and spots. Bella, Violet, and Annie won't be cubs for long, so come check them out!
